Music returns to the Read Queen April 8th! Please register here for free: https://www.culturalcaravan.org/events-1/violin-cello-duos-at-the-read-queen

Join us for a cozy evening concert among the bookshelves at the Read Queen Bookstore & Café, where Josh Halpern, Artistic Director of the Cultural Caravan, will be joined by renowned violinist Geneva Lewis for a performance of duos for violin and cello!

Geneva and Josh are old friends, and while a program has not yet been decided, you can count on a lively evening where you’ll sit only feet away from the musicians as they share some of their favorite gems from this rarely-heard repertoire. Come early to grab a coffee, find your favorite corner, and stay after to browse the shelves and maybe take home a book (or two).

Geneva Lewis is one of the most compelling violinists of her generation. A BBC New Generation Artist and recipient of both the Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award, she has built an extraordinary career performing with ensembles from the BBC Symphony to the Atlanta Symphony, while holding her own in chamber music settings alongside legends like Gidon Kremer, András Schiff, and Mitsuko Uchida. She brings the same passionate commitment to educational outreach and community engagement as she does to the stage of Wigmore Hall, embodying the kind of musician-citizen that the world needs.
